Credit Repair Advice – How to Challenge Information on your Credit Report

Need some FREE credit repair advice?

The truth is, the very best way to fix your credit report is to challenge the information that is bad……PERIOD.  Just about every credit repair lawyer, clinic, or association uses some derivation of this strategy, and it’s been very effective for literally MILLIONS of people over the last few decades..:-)

The better news?  If you are trying to fix your credit report yourself, or increase your credit score WITHOUT engaging the help of an attorney or credit clinic, challenging, or disputing the items on your report that are weighing DOWN your score is very simple, and only really requires getting copies of your reports from each reporting agency, listing the derogatory items from WORST to “least” harmful…and beginning the process of finding errors in how this information is being reported.

(just about ALL negative information on your credit file is at least “somewhat” wrong…and the good news is, the law ENTITLES you to an error free report, EVEN on items that are otherwise, in spirit, correct – e.g. – a wrong DATE, even on an account you really didn’t pay, is technically “kosher” to dispute)

Need more help?  Check out the short article below on some easy ways to get your reports, and to begin your disputes…..:-)  The full article can be read at the link immediately following the excerpt below.

# Make a copy of your credit report and circle every item you believe is incorrect.# Write a letter to the reporting agency (the address will be printed on the report). Explain each dispute and request an investigation to resolve the issues. If you have supporting paperwork, send it along, coding pages to match dispute paragraphs. Do not send your originals.# Send all materials by certified mail, return receipt requested, so that you can prove the packet was received.
